No. All are welcome to join us for any leg of the pilgrimage. Only those who wish to walk with us, stay overnight and participate in the pilgrimage supper need register.
  • How heavy should my pack be?
A good guide for pack weight is to carry no more than 10% of your body weight. For example, the backpack of someone who weighs 170 lbs. should be no more than 17 lbs. The upper limit for a pack regardless of a persons weight should be no more than 22lbs.
  • I'm driving to the Cathedral, where can I park my car?
First, if it is possible we recommend getting dropped off or car pooling with other pilgrims as parking around the Cathedral for an extended period of time can be problematic and costly. If you are driving to the Cathedral, we recommend parking your car in the Green-Hudson Parking Garage located at the corner of Hudson Ave and Green St. This is located about a half-mile (12 min walk) from the Cathedral. For more information on parking in Albany please see the ParkAlbany website here: https://www.parkalbany.com/find-parking
  • What will be provided overnight at the parish stops?
    (1) A Pilgrims Supper (2) Time before the Blessed Sacrament (3) Good conversations. (4) A mat to sleep on. (5) Access to water & bathrooms. (6) The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and Breakfast in the morning.
  • Will there be showers?
Because the accommodations are limited showers will not be available for the extent of the pilgrimage. So be prepared to rough it. Pilgrims are encouraged to bring "body wipes" as a substitute.
